Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Top photo is a GT3 and bottom a Carrera.
errr this 997 in brisbane has the top wheel, which is confusing me: http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?Cr=0&R=SSE-AD-2174523

The bottom one seems to be an auto with steering wheel gear selector buttons but other than that I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure top photo is a GT3. Give PCM a call.
the bottom wheel is an early 997 (series I) & the top wheel is 997 (series II).
Man this is turning into some kind of wicked trivia question! They are both from the same year 997, i.e 2005. The closest answer I have found is that one is a Sport Wheel (i.e. yes it's on the GT3) and the other is a multifunction wheel which has stereo controls and maybe answers the phone too.
Finally had a look at red book, and the answer is that the top wheel is from the S model and the bottom wheel is the standard.
Correct. Its an S wheel (for a Tip) with the optional multi-function wheel.
This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
