Hey, Im just throwing this out there.....I have owned a 996 Cab 2 since new. It is a real real nice ride. It is Triple Black and has some unique options. It has the following: 10,500 Miles IMS Bearing Replacement from LN Engineering New Tires New Battery (Porsche Brand) Major Service at the Dealership with new Serpentine Belt and All fluids..big list Entered in 2010 Porsche Parade Concours and was 3rd in 996 division Clear Bra over entire front clip, rockers and rear fenders behind the rear wheels All the cosmoline removed from the undercarriage---detailed Sport springs.....I have the originals Cool porsche gas cap...I have the original Cool umbrella which fits in the passenger side cubby Options it was born with... Factory Aero Kit with fixed rear wing spoiler Exhaust option.....flip a switch and it sounds like a Harley Silver steering wheel Full leather Sports Seats Small aluminum package Crests on seats Painted crests on wheels Bose Halogens Wind Screen Hardtop So.....My question is....what is the value of a car like that right now....It just seems the values of 996 are going DOWN..... I have been toying with selling it for a 993 or even a 911 3.2 Widebody....or Turbo... Comments would be appreciated... Thanks...

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. You might look at this: Excellence :: Buyers Guide : 911: 1999-2008 I've heard that new car incentives and other issues have pushed 996 prices down somewhat.
For a 1999 with the options, concours, and miles $22-25K
Looks like it will be mine for a while..not worth it to sell.....amazingly terrible...
Unfortunately waiting a while isn't going to make the value of your car go up. While the economy may improve your 996 is only getting older. Keep it and enjoy it, like you said or, bite the bullet and sell for the 993.
It is a very nice example. Just curious, what were you expecting/hoping it might bring?
What year is it? Your best bet, since I don't know where you live, is detail the heck out of it and place an add on local CL/newspaper at a price you want and see if anyone bites. Ideally wait till "spring" or convertible season is about to begin and hope for one of those "we just want a convertible now" type buyers. Selling it here or on RL will bring out the cheapos and those looking for bargins and more Could be up to 30K depending on the buyer. private sale only. Wholesale /trade in prices will only depress you more.
From the headlights it looks like a 2002 or newer. That would make the estimates closer to $30k
Why would you want to sell such a beauty? Your Porsche looks awesome. I would keep it forever, maybe pass it on to my offspring. Just my 2 cents.....
It is a 2003...which is the first year of the glass rear window on the cabs....It does have many other options....too. But in the end it is "just" a Cab2...not to special. I like DaveBerry Suggestion...the best....Thanks for all the commentary!
Beautiful car. Sadly the options don't add much to the resale price, but the low mileage / condition, service history, and LN IMS would to an informed / enthusiast buyer - or at least justify selling for close to full market price (whatever that ends up being).
