Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello everybody, Im just wondering if anyone has successfully added functions to their PCM after market. I got the most stripped out basic Carrera, thus it has no functions on the PCM like the chrono timing, log book, voice control etc. Surely these functions are in the computer and just require some way of switching them on? It's the very latest system and Im currently in a service loan car Boxster which has the same system but with a load more features available. Sports Chrono I understand is a factory fit only option, but surely the lap timer (without the big stop watch) is available to switch on in the PCM? Anyone been able to do this? Naturally the dealers are telling me that you can't.... Thanks!
