I have this shifter but it looks like the end was cut off. Does not change functionality but I'm sure that is where the front screw hole mount is for the console. Only part number is PA6 6-GF35. I cannot find any part number like that. It has plastic bushings not metal. Someone told me it is a 997 GT3 shifter but Im sure they have metal bushings. Also WHY would someone cut off the end? Center console delete maybe? Shifter with end cut off. Blue means short shifter correct? Normal shifter with end attached

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

thats the material its made of. polyamide6 plastic with 35% glass fiber reinforcement. could be 997 as only the 997 GT3 shifter has metal bushings from factory. usually they have part number stickers, you can see the white remnants of yours on the front.
Looks like a 997 shifter. I'd guess they chopped off the front to make it easier to refit the center console while leaving the section with the hvac , & batwing with the heated seat buttons in place.
This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
