I'm about 2,500 miles into my one and only Boxster experience, and I'm at the point in ownership where I usually swap out the shifter knob. It's a relatively cheap way to affect the driving experience, and my last two daily drivers have received a knob from SportShifters.com , so I'm set to spec and order one of theirs. Pricey but worth it in my mind. Anyway, they have zero pics of a 987 fitting on their website, and it looks like it will be (as usual) a significant drop in height. Do any of you mugs have experience with a Sportshifter re-knobbing? If so, how does it feel? I already know the workmanship is worth the cost (and wait). I'm leaning towards one of the mahogany knobs. My car is still rocking the stock shifter assembly, cables and knob. Sand beige interior.
