So, i am building my 996.1 2wd for icecross. its currently an open diff, which seems to work ok on track and autocross, but come winter, its going to not be ok. So far the only LSD i seem to be able to find is the Wavetrack, which is a modified torsen. i was hoping to find a full clutch pack style, but i cant seem to find guards, or OS giken or any of the classic clutch pack ones in 996.1 6 speed. lots of GT3/turbo etc stuff, can't seem to find them in 996.1 normal 6 speed. is there a compatibility im missing or something? or is wavetrack my only option? a torsen is certainly better than an open, but clutches in my experience on the ice are much better.
