My 997 C4S had developed an exhaust leak or heat shield vibration that is very annoying during acceleration. Current mileage is 45,000. Anyone have this problem and care to share what you found before I tear into the exhaust system to find the leak. Makes the same sound when sport mode is turned off and accelerating. If I tear into the exhaust system and find more than a gasket or loose heat shield, the plan is to upgrade to a Fabspeed exhaust and eliminate the Valve Tronic stock setup. Have already added the air intake and love it. Thanks

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
