It sounds mean and not as loud as some people said on the forum. I had alot of compliments on how good it sound from my neighbors. I drive about 1,500 miles a year. So I dont think I will get sick of the growl.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I've been thinking about doing the muffler bypass too, i just cant get over how loud my camaro was with they electronic cutout. Im currious how well an electric or manual cutout would work on a Pcar. Drive out of the neighborhood and get out on the city streets and just open the exhaust with a touch of a button.

It really isnt that bad. I had SLP exhaust on my vette and that was way crazy louder then the porsche bypass pipe. I took the SLP pipe off my vette immediately. When your just cruising around town its not bad at all with the bypass pipe. But if you open the throttle up, it will get loud. I bet you would get some compliments on how nice sounds. I did.
I tried driving with the muff bypass on the freeway for an extended period of time...the 2.5-3k rpm drone gets to be unbearable after a few weeks.
I am not a fan of the bypass pipes (without a helmet)
