Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, all. Would I mess up my car's handling if I put spacers on the front wheels only? For the record, I'm on 17s and otherwise perfectly happy with them, but they are pretty tucked-in up front. Thanks!

POST 2Original post

I had spacers up front before I went with the Volks, its not uncommon at all.

POST 4Original post

If you add spacers to only the front, youre increasing the track width of the front axle. That will encourage your cars balance to have less understeer. Whether youll notice it or not is down to the spacers widths, your driving style (and aggression), and the cars current setup. This is something you should keep in mind while driving, so you wont be caught unaware.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I’m a pretty relaxed driver. Might goose it on occasion, but I don’t track it or try to impress anyone.

POST 6Original post

Its fine. Im at watkins glen doing 144 on the straight with 15mm front spacers

LOL, unless he's racing car, this will NEVER come into play.......and even if he was it's unlikely it would ever be felt since 95% of owners are unable to extract the full potential of the car on the track.

POST 8Original post

I have 15 mm spacers on the fronts, no problems ever.

Its best to err on the side of caution, should he decide to ever push the pace.
