I bought the 2000 Carrera last March with 20,000 miles on her. Last night, I observed that the gas lid was not locked when the doors were locked. I opened the cover and observed a pin that would extend and retract, but it was not aligned with the locking mechanism on the lid. It looks like it should work, but is not lining up with the lid catch. Am I missing something to align the pin to the latch? It seems like I could wedge something in to the pin opening to move it in the right place. Any ideas or comments would be appreciated!

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
