Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Any one had issues with the indicators on their 996? Both sides / dash flash at the start of the journey but as time passes the indicators / dash indicators give up. Turning indicators off and on works for a few seconds then they die again. Hazard lights work fine. Driving me nuts - any ideas? My battery is old but voltage sits on or slightly below 14. Maybe a relay or fuse? Jim.

POST 2Original post

Try the relay, mine was intermittent and was a $5-10 fix from super cheap auto. Apologies, cant remember the relay but there should be a chart in the fuse box in driver floor well.

Thanks Macca. Been trying to source a relay today and ended up speaking to Porsche Sydney as I thought it would be a specific part. They quoted $46! I actually ordered it and its coming up over night from Melbourne. Super cheap on line are $32 - but not sure if spec matches. Next time I'll take the non dealer option. Cheers - Jim.

POST 4Original post

Arh yes - $32 would be right (I recall it being a cheap fix - I was expecting some complicated expensive electrical nightmare), but for an OEM part $46 isnt bad at all, hope it fixes the issue.

Yea to be honest if $46 fixes it it will be the cheapest fix to date! Cheers Jim.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Indicator issue sorted - 20 second fix. Second day all good. Also grabbed a pollen filter from Porsche whilst I was there. Can find them cheaper online but the smell was getting annoying! Jim.
