I have a 2002 996 with an odd problem. When shifting slowly (clutch pedal depressed slowly) everything works fine. However, when I jab at the clutch pedal during a track even, the clutch sticks and does not return causing over-reving. I have looked at the mechanism and do not see anything unusual. Has anyone seen this? Seems like inertia of jabbing the clutch is taking it somehow overcenter of something causing the sticking, but I really don't know. Thanks for the help! Chris

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I would bleed the clutch fluid & brake fluid. Flush & bleed if it hasn't been done in last 2 years.
Yeah, that's been done. It does not seem to be a hydraulic issue, but more of a tolerance/over center type issue. Any other suggestions? Anyone have some workshop drawings of the area and linkage? Thanks, Chris
