Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey team, I’m looking to re-enter the water cooled 911 ownership. I had a 997.2 C2 manual. Love the look of the wide body 4S but a early 991 is a similar price. I’m feeling 997 4S is where I would like to be. This time around will be PDK as my wife will be driving it (she is paying 🤣 ). Is that the better choice over a early 991? Help me please!

POST 2Original post

Hey Stu! Long time no see! My thought is the 991 Carrera is a better value proposition, longer warranty etc, but ultimately it is going to come down to preference.. to me the 997.2 C4S seems priced a little high at the moment, considering you can get into a GT3 for not too much more... but on the other hand, I guess you would expect to realise more depreciation in the 991! Cant go wrong either way IMO

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Edgy, did not even look at a GT3... yet!  I thought that would be a lot more

Stu, if you’re in Berry over Christmas you’re welcome to drive my 991.2, it’s manual but you’ll get the 991 picture, let me know by pm.
