Which relay do I pull to prevent the engine from starting? I want to be able to crank the engine without it starting. Thanks

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I assume you're asking about an '03 C4S. Per my Bentley manual, the ignition system can be disabled by removing the FIO (fuel injection, ignition, O2 sensor) relay. This relay is behind the rear seat, under the parcel shelf carpet. Once you get the carpet up, loosen the panel fasteners, then slide relay panel out and flip over to access relay. With ignition off, remove the FIO relay. In the color picture, the bottom row has what look to be five relays. From left to right, they are black, green red, white, and white. The FIO relay is the white one between the red relay and the white relay at the end.
That’s it! Thanks so much!
