Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Is there anyone in Sydney who has the mod. I just want to hear it before proceeding as I have a baby seat in the back.. Dont reallly want to go too loud.

POST 2Original post

I am in Sydney's western suburbs my car had fister d mod with inch 3/4 bipass pipe it's not loud at low rpm only get loud when you get up in the high rpm and to be honest the engine intake and the mechanical noises are just as loud ,,,, it just gets rid of that muted farty sound the factory cans make and gives it a good throaty exhaust note none Porsche people just think that's the standard exhaust knot sound much better ..I have video footage on the fister d and gundo hack thread ..

POST 4Original post

Hi, I'm also looking at this. Rang around a few exhaust specialists and it looks like a $600-$750 job, and a $900 job if it's being 'organized' by one of the established P-car workshops. It's apparently more of a challenge working with stainless steel however I assume that's talked up over being real - most decent shops will be familiar with the materials. Would be good to cross correlate this

POST 5Original post

Go to the below thread it has all the details of a guy in western Sydney Penrith who can do it for a couple hundred and cheaper if you remove the mufflers ,,,nothing special about welding the the bypass pipe relatively simple ....... Fister Exhaust Mod for 997 Carrera S
