lots out there are autos- are the series 1 autos bad? I understand series 2 is superior and also understand a manual is for a driving mans car and not the city commuter and can differ in price 10k +

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Personal choice really, 10k mark-up between manual and auto seems to be the standard or it was when I was looking for my 996 a few years ago. If you like auto buy auto if you want manual buy manual
$7-$10k price differential manual to Tip seems to be the go for 996's at the moment, where I've been looking. I'm probably wrong, but I thought I had read that the Tip technology was developed by Porsche, and then licenced to other manufacturers...
Interesting so really if one was to purchase they just always need to realise it will be valued that bit less, and not be as fun, unless a city commuter where you can use your keep cup a little bit easier during the weeks driving.
