Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all, 1st Post so not sure what the procedure is Trying to get info or proceedure details as to change out the powersteering pump on a 2002 996. I have most of the parts out re; air filter, throttle body, power steering pump reservoir. Directly behind the pump there is one 13mm head bolt and I am having trouble with getting this off. Surely the mounting bracket which the power steering pump mounts to does not have to come off? Any advice or tricks and or links will be appreciatted. Thanks

POST 2Original post

I think you did great on your 1st post! It's been awhile since I removed a P/S pump but I remember it was a pain. Seems like you have to rotate it out.
