Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi guys, a buddy of mine has a 996 cab with a leaking hydraulic cylinder on the top mechanism. The dealer has quoted something like $1400 for the repair and $900 of that is parts. Do you have any recommendations for a Houston mechanic who can help him out for a better price?

POST 2Original post

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Sorry - I wasn't very clear. The leaking hydraulic cylinder is in the mechanism for the convertible top. Basically he has a cab that he can't convert!

POST 4Original post

Protechniks, Rennsport (in Sealy), and Porsche West Houston are all good options in the Houston area.
