Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Not having seen any camera shots of the Bose system inside the Cayman I'm hoping someone can grab some from the Frankfurt show. I think about where the rear sub is on the Boxster S and I am wondering if it is going to be stacked on top of the engine lid/deck in the Cayman as well or located somewhere else? Anyone know?

POST 3Original post

Well I got a press photo that shows speakers in the back near the strut towers but they are too small to be the sub woofer, not sure where it is still, maybe Schao saw it in Frankfurt?

POST 5Original post

Yes, this question was answered long ago and I never revisited this thread that the Bose sub woofer is in the center stack and exits in the passenger footwell.

POST 6Original post

Yes, and I have seen pictures showing it. It almost looks like the heater duct. I can't remember if the pictures are on this site or in magazines.

POST 7Original post

Found one. You can see it in the passenger foot well, just below the dash.

POST 8Original post

Good call totally forgot about this posting when I put up the pictures today in my gallery.

POST 9Original post

I've ordered the Bose on my Cayman, just wondering if the passenger will get blown out by bass or not. Thought it would be more centered between the two seats. Anyone with experience with this?

POST 10Original post

I general the base can be a bit boomy, but once adjusted it sounds very nice. It definatly is not noticably coming from the passenger side of the car.

POST 11Original post

I would agree with AtillaS. The system is nice, but it takes some fine tuning to get it just right. Well worth the $ if you like music. Russ
