This company, http://www.giacusa.com/ , claims that a stock Cayman develops 250WHP on a Mustang dyno. Mustang dynos are like Dynodynamics, which are very conservative. Does this mean the Cayman is producing 325 plus horsepower on the crank. If you use the hp calculator, where the weight and trap speed are the variables, it estimated the horsepower to be around 295HP. What's the truth on the Cayman's HP?

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

id like to know!
It is probably 295 whp. Remember that there are new SAE regulations to manufacturers about power, stating that the Power rating advertised must be true to life (whp, not from the crank, etc.)
</blockquote> 295WHP! That cannot be true and it's way high for WHP. They said it was stock. If the 250WHP mustang dyno is true, then the lost is only around %15, which is cause by the drivetrain. then it also means that our cayman is producing around 340HP on the crank basing on a %15 drivetrain loss and the 295WHP.
Very interesting - I hope some real dyno numbers show up here. I recall reading a post here or on another forum that a group of people was going to dyno their cars at a track event.
