Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Nearly Mrs Hendo noticed a metal strap hanging behind the real wheel. Looking at the other side, it appears to be a retaining strap for the silencer/heat exchanger box. Are these easy(read not expensive) to get sorted? The strap is till joined and in a loop and seems to have become detatched from its anchor point up inside the car. Migration info. POST 2Original post

The real question Hendo is why was "Nearly Mrs Hendo " crawling around the rear wheels in the first place. If it was so she could get her hand right up inside the wheel arch to clean it properly while you watched the football then I can understand  Migration info. Legacy thread was 12608

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Absolutely Chris, she'd done the washing up and ironing and certainly looked like she needed something to do. Pus it was cold and I didnt want to risk it myself for fear of damaging my Sky remote finger. Bloomin painful that is Migration info. Legacy thread was 12610

POST 4Original post

The exhaust straps cost about £20, I had one fitted to my 993 last Friday, your local specialist should be able to fix it in about 15 minutes I reckon! Migration info. Legacy thread was 12616

POST 5Original post

Or you could teach "Nearly Mrs Hendo" how to operate a Spanner and she could do it for you. Migration info. Legacy thread was 12621

POST 6Original post

Oh, Matron!!! Migration info. Legacy thread was 12638
