Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

20 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 10Original post

Nothing to contribute here other than Id like some more photos of your car. Whered you cop the rear bumper with the 4S/turbo vents and what bumper are you running up front?

POST 12Original post

I couldn't do it as well as you so I'm ok with my back end... pretty generous for a narrow body.

I'm about to make flush-fitting "heckblende" bumperettes for 996 because I also hate the earwig-butt appearance. Mesh would be cool in theory but we'd just be looking at crashbar and heatshield lol.

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok so I’m in the body shop and I’ve decided on shaving the bumperettes and cutting vents next the license plate like this using this mesh

POST 17Original post

I did mine yesterday on a whim hadn't seen this thread!

POST 19 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'll take some this weekend. I went with a finer mesh, painted it black, painted the support beam/heat shields behind the bumper black as well. I'm adding some rubber trim around where I cut to finish it all off. One note: mine is a Carrera 4 which has MUCH bigger holes in the bumper from the factory, so I had to cut out larger openings.
