Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Just a quick note to confirm that I have tested the CD Autochanger and PCM together and it looks like the PCM unit alone will only play MP3's. The Autochanger doesn't seem to be compatible with MP3's at the moment although there are 3rd party Autochangers that will. If there are ways around this ie.. Software Update then I would be interested, otherwise, it looks like if you like MP3's then there isn't much difference in opting for the Autochanger. Just curious as to what anyone else thinks?

POST 2Original post

I hate to say it, but there was never any documentation that indicated that the CD Autochanger might support MP3. But thanks for the confirmation.

POST 3Original post

The good thing is that if someone is specifying a new car then thats another possible saving. The quality of sound is still as expected markedly better from CD to Bose rather than MP3 to Bose. I have found the Porsche Autochanger that I have very temepramental though. ie.. it will sometimes recognise my latest U2 CD then at other times not recognise or play it at all! I wonder if anyone else has had these problems as it does say in the Manual that CD's that have a certain degree of Security built in won't play.

POST 4Original post

I'm surprised the auto-changer is so tempremental. I wonder if the dealer could change it out for another one. Here is the other thread related to the CD changer part of the topic. Edited by - K-Man-sculpture.net on 02/16/2006 08:44:27 AM

POST 5Original post

I never had a problem with the CDs I've made on My MAC - they worked in my Cayenne changer and work in my in dash player on my Cayman. Hope you sort this out...

POST 6Original post

I'm with Archer on this as well. No CD changer problems todate.
