I registered for Porsche Classic membership and was sent a cool metal badge for my car. Where have people mounted this on the 996? I am also asking if anyone has the Porsche Classic number plate surrounds that they might sell? My daughter is restoring a Porsche 924 and would love a set.

I registered over a year ago and haven’t received a thing… What sort of a badge is it? Exterior?

How did you register? Numberplate wise, you can buy these direct from Porsche but I belvie they have been discontinued.
Seemed to be a big thing the classic register with Porsche and its just fizzled out.
I had the choice of four circular metal badges in various colours. They are heavy and robust and they look like they mount on the rear deck lid of a classic impact bumper and previous car. Not sure where they actually mount on a 996 or the Boxster S i actually got this for. The register did send me some goodies, but as far as i can work out, they have discontinued this plan. I received a book, the number plate surrounds, the badge and the offer of money off at the OPC and some car washes from the OPC. I registered via my local OPC. @Damo996 - looking good!!
I got sent a pack with some stuff in it, can't remember what, but it was a lot less than the Porsche website suggested and I didn't get the reg plate surrounds. Porsche Middle East, without prompt, sent me a really nice gift pack with a trophy, a framed certificate with my name and VIN on, and a bag full of goodies, when I bought my first 911 off them.
After i received my welcome pack i just went into my OPC and they ordered me some
I went to my local OPC (Tewkesbury) and completed the forms to register several months ago and have heard nothing. I got 10% discount on parts when I've ordered but that's being honoured by the parts guy in the dealership, not heard a thing from the Porsche Classic scheme itself.
Two badges for sale on eBay today. One is green and one is pink …..

I also registered for the Porsche Custodians program this week. I did feedback that the metal badge is very impressive but only really fits sports cars. I had to make up a mounting bracket to add to my 955 Cayenne S. The number plate surrounds wouldn't have that issue!
I went into my local OPC and they provided me with a ‘Custodians’ pack which is the newly rebooted Porsche Classic scheme apparently (launched in the last 2 weeks). It included a metal badge in the pack.
I registered all 3 Porsches and got 3 packs, Rav, to answer your question, I haven’t a clue on a 996 or Boxster, so I gave to friends with older Porsches where they could mount them on deck lids
