Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT BULB Called Porsche and they don't know which bulb I need to replace the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT BULB: 1 1/2 Watts? 1.2 Watts? 3 Watts? I don't want to remove the cluster yet so I can drive it to the dealer to get the part or order it online.. Help!

POST 2Original post

I am assuming you have a 996... The cluster is held in by 2 screws. It takes an experienced tech approximately 45 seconds to remove the cluster. Just remove it, and the bulb. Then you will know what wattage bulb it is.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks, doing it right now hopefully in less than 45sec. Starting... now!

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Oh man! I thought you're on rennlist so i posted there... yes it was pretty easy. Thanks! now it still won't pass smog... I was wondering if it is possible to pass smog with a K&N cold air intake or if there's anyway to cheat the sensors?
