Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I purchased a 2000 911C2 last week and recieved it this Wednesday. Naturally it was pouring buckets that day so I just wiped it off and parked it next to my 2000 Saleen 281SC#04. They look pretty cool next to each other. Later that evening I read through the manual and then figured out what I had and didn't have. I also did a little surfing to get an idea what I was in for. For many years I have admired these cars but never really thought about owing one. Then it dawned on me to buy a clean used one. I found this little guy on the web with 15k miles at a dealer. So we made the deal and now this car is in my garage. This morning despite snowing and a little raining we (my son and I) took off and headed for the highway. The roads were about half wet/dry. On the ramp I hit it and immediately my son says "damn this will take the Mustang". I agreed and wow everything about the feel, handing, acceleration and the sifting of the Triptronic were awesome. It was nothing like the Saleen which feels bumpy and twitchy on the bends. Don't get me wrong the Saleen is great but this Carrerra is just awesome. Why I didn't do this before is bothering me. Just had to spit this out. Thanks for listening. Chris

Congrats! Welcome to the forum! Great looking car! Only 15K miles?? That car is not even broken in yet! I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun breaking it in though!
