Hi folks, i’m looking to get a used, good-value reliable Targa to be a summer car. Please suggest a good year / options to get. I don’t particularly care about specific engine / horses, it will never see a track. The car has to look sharp, classy, and be reliable. Later years is better, but will go as far back as 2014 with low miles if its a good value, well equipped, and has good records. $100k is tops. Advice is much appreciated.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Well, I am not an expert and I have not owned one...yet, but I have been researching the a great deal and it's very hard to tell. I am sure that 2014-2016 naturally aspirated are dropping in price due to the difficulties in modification and low end torque. 2017-2019 have a crazy range in price from 115 to 165. I have been looking for something under 10k miles and has a fairly good accessory list. You also need to make sure you get the 4S version in those years. The 2021 to 2024 are very high 160 - 250 so that is a better all around car but it is certainly a budgeting factor. I personally was trying to wait until the 21 models start creeping under 150k before I can afford one, or spending 135-140 on a 17-19 4S model. Hope this helps you some
