Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Hi I've searched the forum a lot and looked at all the suggested threads to read up on this but I can't find anything relevant enough. The most relevant title just has "sorry for the duplicate" as the body text and nothing pointing to anything useful. So anyway, the title is kinda explanatory. I have an 09 911 C2S with a PCM 3.0 unit. It has a universal audio interface that works flawlessly with my iPhone 4S. If I plug in my 5g iPod Classic (80GB, fully up to date firmware) the device won't work properly and experiences multiple disconnects. The PCM unit displays " iPod not ready..." and the iPod itself switches from the Connected screen with the apple logo to the main menu where the user can control it. Back and forth back and forth. It never actually connects properly and has yet to work at all. Has anyone else experienced this issue and can point me in the right direction to fixing it? My universal audio interface has the single ipod connector to dual ports, one USB and one round labelled " iPod ". Thanks Paul

I am having the exact opposite of you. I have an I Pod classic and I Pod Touch that connects fine on my 2012 997.2 S with PCM 3.0 but my I- Phone 4s doesn't get recognized for music/Pandora etc when connected to the universal audio interface. The Blue tooth phone option is great. It usually charges and I sometimes get music for like 20 seconds and then it quits, or I get "the I Pod not ready" message. Sometimes it acknowledges it as an aux device when it plays for a short while. Usually I can't choose the I Pod source selection (not present) when going through the source options on the PCM screen and the phone sometimes tells me the device I am trying to connect to is not an authorized I Phone accessory. The dealer was able to get a 4s a tech had work fine. They want me to back my phone up and then set it back to the factory and start over to see if some program is causing issues.

This is not my issue but just make sure that you plug the universal audio connector into into both the I-Pod Slot and the USB slot next to it.
