Removing the original manual shifter on my '97 C2S is supposed to be an easy job. I have released the leather boot, but cannot get the sh*ter off. It is supposed to just pull upwards to remove. Problem - it's stuck fast and won't budge! Any experience/advice or suggestion most welcome. Cheers Migration info. Legacy thread was 14613

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Resorted to cutting the original out. I think it may have been glued in place under the previous ownership. It's replacement looks fab - a modified ally 996 job with Porsche crest. Migration info. Legacy thread was 14662
