Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Hello everyone, I have a question for you, My car has PDLS+ and i love it but i was thinking of applying a yellow tint to the headlights. My questions is will it still be bright? i think its not legal but I love all about it and if i get pulled over i just remove the tint but my question is if everything including the calibration and all will still work just fine. Thanks!

The 4300k color temp of the bi-xenons puts out the most lumens in the part of the visible light spectrum that is optimal for the human eye. Layering a yellow tint on top will reduce the effectiveness of the lighting system. BTW, yellow lights used to be a requirement in France. I remember on my first trip there in the '80s wondering why all the cars were equipped with these dull, yellow headlights. "...until 1993 all cars in France were required to have yellow headlights. This tradition started during World War II so that the French civilian cars would stand out form enemy vehicles. The Government enacted a law on the 3rd of November, 1936 stating that all vehicles put into production in 1937 are required to have yellow headlights. The French being who they are, didn't abandon these headlights until 1993 when forced by the European Unions conformity standards. Today, it is illegal to drive in France with yellow headlights unless your car was first registered before 1993."
