Did anybody else watch this program recently on Wheelers Dealers. Buying repairing and selling a 996 C2 convertible Couple of errors in the program as the car was a 2000 reg is should be a 3.4 not a 3.6 as stated. They showed IMS replacement in reasonable detail along with the wheel bearings. Plus several other items Otherwise a very positive advert for the car. They also commented on rising values all but it being in the USA Well worth a watch if you can get it. Trevor

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi Trevor, Yes, I caught it, just after they had done the buying and going through what work it needed etc, so didnt see who or where they bought it from and what was 'wrong' with it. Although Id read up on the different IMS solutions, watching it being done was good, as you say. And I also thought they got the engine size wrong and one other element too, that now escapes me, and I thought wasnt right. I never saw many early WD shows, but have seen later ones here and there. I do miss Ed China, but think Ant does a great job too. Cheers, Mark
They didn't lock off the timing (don't think I'd risk it) The kit doesn't even have the tools to do so and is overpriced as was expected. I don't see much difference in this and just removing the seals on a good bearing with no play. Only a five year warranty:-( Anyone know what material the bush is made of? I wouldn't like any debris to get between that surface area. Sorry I'm just very critical of anyone who try's to make money with people's obsessions.
Knowing, 1st hand how the presenter & the production staff operate ..I too am very critical of this sort of thing.
