Hi Im looking to buy a 996 in the near future, and have been trawling the net looking for prospective cars. I am ideally after a 996 with full GT3 kit, as I think it looks stunning! However I have seen some 996s without gt3 kit which look like very good buys..........so I am now wondering how much it would cost to 'GT3' an ordinary 996? Is it just the sideskirts/spoiler/front bumper and alloys? Has anyone actually done this? Many thanks.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Have a look at www.essentialstyling.com for an idea - Simon is normlaly pretty competitive. With the current exchange rate it might be worth importing from the US - even after import duty and VAT you could be better off
It will cost you around £3-4k fitted and painted I reckon - probably worth getting a factory fitted kit - will be better for resale too
Depending on how far you want the GT3 look, you may want to consider 18" sport design wheels, M030 lowered sports suspension (-10mm), and a sports exhaust. I spent 6 months looking and finally found one with everything at an independent for liitle more than a "standard" 996. Good hunting
Might sell mine. email me on [email removed] Full body kit
Thanks for all the replies. Vorland911, I've dropped you an email. David Vickers, your car is exactly what I am after..do you have any more pics, Im particularly interested as yours has the -10mm, which IMHO makes all the difference. Cheers.
Sorry for the delay in replying my broadband at home is down for some reason. I have plenty of pics, will sort some out for you.
I've set up a shared album at Internet Photos but I need your e-mail address to allow you access. Could you either post it here or e-mail it to me please.
Hi David, my email is [email removed] Many thanks.
I've set up shared access for you. The site should have sent you an invite with viewing details by e-mail. If you have difficulties let me know. I can at the moment only get to the forum and my e-mail account at work as I'm having problems with my ADSL line at home hence my delay.
David, many thanks for sharing your album with me, your car looks stunning, its exactly what Im after. Are you selling by any chance?
Give Brian Goff at Jasmine Motorsport a ring (google search) as he does an "upgrade"
Thanks for your comments but I'm not intending to sell in the forseeable future. Keep looking as there are cars out there.
