Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello, I'm new to the forum. I would like to buy my dream car (911 Coupe) 2000 newer in a few month and I would like to know what is the best BUYERS GUIDE BOOK available out there? I just want to learn more about the car, potential problems, what to look for, what to avoid. In other words a very complete and informative book. I'm looking at this books but not sure after reading the reviews Amazon.com: Online Shopping for Electronics, Apparel, Computers, Books, DVDs & more Amazon.com: Online Shopping for Electronics, Apparel, Computers, Books, DVDs & more Thanks in advance.

Go to Amazon.com and look up the "996 Essential Companion" by Streather. It's not a perfect book, but it's the best book out there on newer Porsches (assuming you're not looking for a 997, but you said about a 2000). It even has DIY information, so you can use it as a light-duty shop manual. Amazon also has the best price on it.

What's up with the inability of creating a link? http://www.amazon.com/Porsche-996-Essential-Companion-Supreme/dp/1845840968/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1257578037&sr=8-1
