Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, Anyone done a headlight bulb change? I was scared off the idea today when a colleague told me how his friend attempted it and ended up with a new cluster! Is this easy? the handbook makes it sound simple, but then they always do! 1998 996 C2 P.s just had it Zymol'd, wow.. It took the guy 12 hours, looks fantastic! shame it rained after 30 mins on the road..:-( Thanks Nick

POST 2Original post

Follow the instructions in the manual - when you realease the headlight unit using the supplied tool it takes a bit of force, followed by a loud crack !

POST 3Original post

Just watch out for the orange/clear reflectors to the side of the indicators, they are quite fragile.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
