Hi. i would like to do some custom job on my 2010 Porsche 987.2 Cayman S . I am trying to incorporate the design elements of the 981 series cayman ( like bumpers, side vents) onto my 987.2 , altering the proportions and contours in a 3D software, and printing the same with a 3D printer . I find several Youtubers taking this approach successfully and hopefully I would as well. I have identified 3D CAD modelers in my region (India) and am exploring buying a 3D printer . For now, I am trying to locate a source/business from whom i can buy high quality detailed 3D Cad/STL files/high resolution scans of , both 981 and 987.2 body parts. Please suggest if you know . Thank you.

Maybe you’ll find 3D CAD models, but you will probably have more confidence if you just get a scanner and scan the surfaces you are interested in. The only 987 cad I’ve seen out there is mostly for video game rendering or similar. Generally looks like the car, but not trustworthy to build physical designs off of. Hopefully someone knows of some engineering grade CAD data, but I do not. I suspect you will have to make it your self.
