Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Based in London, I've got a 3D scanner and am willing to travel! Doing some design work on some intake mods and it's got the point now where I need to look very closely at packaging it inside the engine bay. Best way to do this (obviously) is to try to stay inside the standard engine envelope. This is basically a sanity check for myself to see if what will fit so I'm not looking to buy a spare motor quite yet, but if anyone has a 3.2 or 3.4 M96 out of the car and would be willing to put up with me for an hour or so I can make it worth your while with some nice wine or tasty treats. Mods - I don't think this fits in the 'for sale or wanted' section but obviously feel free to move if you need to.

have you tried a local specialist or sales garage ?

That's a great call - will do!

@Shalmanser, do you have the 3D model? I am also trying something similar, but there aren't any good schematics online in orthographic that are clear enough to know either the correct scale or sizes. Can you share the scan maybe?

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I ended up buying a broken cylinder head which has most of the hard points I need at this stage... I think it was from @MisterCorn of this parish actually....

POST 6Original post

I have a complete 3.4l from a 996.1 sat on an engine stand in my garage, and another without ancillaries. Based in NG16 if you fancy a drive. MC
