Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, All; Does anyone know of a snap-on "shield" that could cover the relatively soft vinyl inner sill plate (see red box in enclosed pic)? When I have to squeeze into/out of the car with the door partially closed, I find I'm dragging my shoes across there, and it's starting to suffer. Thanks for any suggestions; Carl

POST 2Original post

why aren't you entering the car thru the sunroof like the rest of us?

POST 3Original post

you can repaint it with krylon acrylic flat black. ebay also has some carbon fiber look wraps.

POST 4Original post

there are carbon fiber and stainless steel versions available

POST 5Original post

you can repaint them with ace hardware lacquer base flat black which is a exact match, and you can cover them with some clear bra material

POST 6Original post

Yeah just repainted mine and they look great. It's incentive to lift you fat legs over the sill each time!

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
