Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a 996.2 C2. Yesterday, as it had stopped raining after three months of solid rain I decided to sort out some wear on the drivers side seat bolster. Followed this instructions from my 101 Porsche jobs on how to remove the seat. Removed the rear bolts first and then the fronts. Seat came out without any issues, however the long spring that is under the seat has detached at one end, see photos attached. Anyone know where the hell other end goes? Cheers in advance. Mark

POST 2Original post

A guess as I'm not with my car right now.... Seat mounting bolt that you've just removed to get the seat out?

POST 3Original post

Does this help, otherwise a better pic of the lower left of your original pic as it's too dark to see!

POST 4Original post

Looking again it looks like it's that thin bracket just inside the bottom of the left rail
