well i had 8 items kicked out and am pondering the question: if i wait, how long will i 'really' have to wait til i can have i my way?! anyone have any suggestions or is it completely a mystery? thanks.

If I can't get what I want in a December build I'm going to cancel out the order. No need to 'order' a car that has what Porsche wants to give me rather than what I want. I can buy a car off the lot for less money at that point.

November builds kicked out everything beginning with 'X'. I had door sills and crests in headrests kicked out.

hey...ok, i had the following kicked out: EBE Alum dash trim $1230 XCK Rear console $730 XCL Inst Surround Alum $360 XTW door finishers in alum $1550 XXZ footrest in alum $250 XSH silver seat belts XLA Chrome exhaust $340 XSC Crest in headrests $270 and apparently X97 wasn't accpeted either (I have to confirm this). I am leaning towards waiting and if they can't deliver this then getting something else...why would I spend all that money and not get what I want? ;-)

OK Dave, now I get your point. If you ever get this built and you're in the SF-CA area someday, stop by....I'd love to see your custom interior! I figure by the time I'm tired with my stock Cayman in 5 yrs, I'll be ready toget a custom Carrera Turbo with all the cool trim like yours. By then I'll be an oldfart and will need the custom wheelchair carrier attached to the bumper, too...., in chrome with the Porsche crest.

I think you pretty much answered your own question. While I did get a few of my options kicked out....rear console painted and sport shifter, I can always get them done later. It basically boils down to getting a non-fancy Cayman right away, or waiting afairly long time to get one just the way you want it. I have always thought it pretty poor of Porsche to do things like this though.
