Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi looking for some advice before I dive in and do the wrong thing! My 1999 c4 cab has had the head unit replaced and I’m wanting to swap it back to something that looks original and will connect to the cd changer. I think that cdr22, 220 or 32 would be suitable? Im considering a CDR32 on eBay it’s sold with no code, is this a problem or is it getable? If anyone has any they would like to sell me know. Thanks Jonathan

POST 2Original post

My radio code decoder should work with a CDR32, but I don't recall using it for one. The CR220 and CDR220 (and 210 models) are US specification, and have different tuner frequencies, so no good for the UK.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Richard Ive ordered the CDR23 from eBay Is appreciate the code if possible Serial No 45030003 Dk you need any other informatio? Thanks Jonathan

POST 4Original post

Do you mean CDR23? You originally said CDR32. If it is a CDR23, it has the fibre optic connections, and won't work on a 1999 996. If it is a CDR32, the unlock code should be 1024.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Richard Typo!! It’s a CDR32, due to arrive tomorrow I’ll let you know if it works once fitted.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Seems the CDR32 I purchased was from a 2004 Boxster and had a fibre optic connection, I’ve swapped it for a CDR22 should plug straight in.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
