Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Not sure about the 2204 cars But 1999-2008 all have the same basic IMS design in the M-type engines. Porsche has been modifying, seals, # of rows, and mounting methods to reduce the risk, but it is still there. The new 2009 9A1 type engines have eliminated the IMS.
The IMS is the same on an x51 engine; it's the software, intake, heads, cams, and headers that are different - not the block.
