Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Okay so as of the other day I am officially almost a Porsche owner. I won a 996 on ebay and was going through the vehicle history report and it says its awd, but the car wasn't listed as a carrera 4 and the badge on the back says carrera. Are there any visual differences between the two. This is an early car and I noticed the turn signals are clear and not yellow. All the carrera 4's i've seen on google images are clear turn signals. Does this mean I have a Carrera 4? Thanks Pierce

Only sure way is to get the option codes and look them up at: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?autocom=options&code=carrera option M339 is the 4 wheel drive; M338 2 wheel drive; M620 e-accelerator (required for M339) What year is it? If there is a picture of the dash, you should see to the left of the radio/a-c a "psm off button" thats a good sign a early C4's all have PSM and C2's have Traction control
