Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Finally it's a go: http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/europe/05/07/porsche.merge/index.html -- peer

POST 2Original post

The only thing that phazes me about that merger is that rumored 2011 boxster that's supposed to have a 4-cyl 2.0 engine. Yay for the BoxS2000ster or something.

POST 3Original post

I've been following this story for quite some time and it makes a lot of sense for both parties. Merging the maufacturing operations ensures cost and production controls for the parent company, Porsche SE (holding company owned by the Porsche and Piech families). Porsche SE had to leverage to purchase the VW shares and a merger of the manufacturing operation could reduce the parent's debt substantially. http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601085&sid=atigQAhcVHsI&refer=europe

POST 4Original post

Got my Road & Track last night - it also has a small article on the new 4 cyl. Box. Smaller, lighter, less expensive, better performing - I believe were the descriptors. Also gave a 270 HP number. Just reporting what I saw - don't know how good their info is at this stage.
