Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have just completed my rebuild following the step by step process as presented in Jake’s DVD series….amazing. I have had a problem with adding the final components, in particular the electrical harness. I have two remaining electrical hook up’s (yellow arrows) , one will go to a sensor (red arrow) and the other I have no idea where it goes or which one goes on the sensor. The photo os the drivers side front of the engine ….3.8 engine 997. Actually now 3.9 after having shipped it to the UK to HARTECH. Any help? Thx Mark

OK, see if this helps. The lower cable by the alternator I am pretty sure connects to Porsche Regeneration Valve from Throttle Body for Fuel Vapor System - 99611012953 - Bosch 0-280-142-380. I know this is a 996 part number, but it still comes up when I look at 997. The other cable touching your thumb probably then goes to the sensor with the red arrow. I'm a 996, self professed expert, but the engines are similar. Does that help?
