I am looking to get a new set of pads and discs for my 07 Cayman S but there seem to be two types of pad depending on wear sensor type.. How can I determine which ones I need? I was going to buy Pagid discs and textar pads and get a local shop to fit.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I had a similar problem with my Boxster S. Being 2003 registered, pads with pin type sensors and horsehoe shaped sensors were both listed. The only way to be sure is to take the wheel off and have a look. You may be able to see them through the wheel with a torch. Mine were pin-type.
