Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

any recommendatiosn for a 996 Turbo strut brace? There seem to be a number on sale at varying prices. Advice appreciated.

I am tempted to suggest a proper roof! [ ] Weltmeister are well known in the Porsche world. Racing Dynamics looks trick, but a bit puny and is not 'tensionable', that is, you cannot pull the two ends together via a threaded section, to create tension. People who know these things have always advised me to avoid curves, generally. I have not seen any strut braces for the 996 family that fit within the plastic trim panels concealing the battery etc. I guess these could be adapted, of course. The 996 is the first 911 I have not installed a strut brace on,as a matter of course. Let us know how you get on, and I will buy the same!

Got mine front and rear from www.evoms.com very good if the dollar rate is favourable.... (but keep your fingers crossed for the customs man - 1 got through and 1 I had to pay the duty, vat etc...) The guy at evo is a diamond

Tim, Why of why do you need a strut brace, does the car seem to flex when you polish it?? See you soon for a curry.

Some of the adverts I've seen will have you believe it will transform the handling. I suppose if you track your car you might notice an improvement. Here's what to do though: Buy it, fit it, take some pics, test it, post the results and let us know.... in other words, we'll let you be the Guinea Pig Mike! [ ] [ ]
