Started the car up yesterday (996 tip), and the dot-matrix temperature display (the display in the main instrument pod) did something strange....the temp started showing something like 24 degrees and then counted down (like the oil level thingy) until it reached 16 degrees....car was cold, hadn't been run for a couple of days....most odd....anybody else ever seen anything like this? Impending doom/failure of a hideously over-priced part?! Marc Migration info. Legacy thread was 27961

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.
