Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Please don't laugh. How many rear foglights on a 2001 pre facelift 996? Only the right side lights up. Is there only one or has the other bulb gone? The reason I ask is that I've had numerous BMWs in the past, some of which had two, some of which had one.

POST 2Original post

It only has one light - but there is a bulb in both! I know - I asked about it at the OPC.

POST 3Original post

Stops people mistaking them for brake lights apparently!

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Fair enough. At least I know where there's a spare bulb!! [ ]
