Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Quite fancy adding some sort of stripe/decal to the side of my car to break up the solid black a little and was thinking of the chequered flag design. Most 9f tbe i ages i can find onoine are for coupes, so looking for inspration that works with the side skirts as well as the roof up and down - open to suggestions

POST 2Original post

I would say definite no to chequered stickers, but it's your car.... Simpler ones look better if you feel the need. At least to my eyes.

POST 3Original post

You might also consider some subtle 'ghost stripes' - in gloss black or matte black over the black paint - that add a bit of interest but are not too much. Or have side stripes that match your silver wheels.

POST 4Original post

A subtle ‘Carrera’ on the door like they put for GTS models would be okay. Chequers may not look that nice IMHO All the best with your move

I added ‘carrera 4’ script in silver but perhaps a little too small

POST 7Original post

That chequered decal looks good on the car pictured because of its rear end and wing and I’m not sure that would work on a 996. As mentioned by others a subtle one on the side might work better but we all like different things so go with what you like you can always switch it out if you’re not completely happy.

POST 9Original post

I'm not keen on decals unless they're on a GT car or track car. The only ones that have tickled my fancy are the bands with Porsche written in them:

Ok I’m converted that doesn’t look as bad as I first thought

POST 11Original post

These are my R-inspired side stripes - red script inside black stripes on a Carrara white car. Not subtle at all.

POST 12Original post

This just popped up on FB. Thought it might help.

I saw that too - bit too bling for me with all the gold

POST 15Original post

Other colours are available. Nice deep metallic Grey like Skoosh 's alloys. Would look CAF.
