Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

The reason your girlfriend likes the cab is that they are girls’ cars. Let me help you out here: Twin turbo or no roof (which will only come off twice a year). Ummm... seems quite simple to me

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I know! I was only ever going to get the t4. It's just the cab looked really good today. Wouldn't have crossed my mind if it were grey and miserable, as per usual.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

They also had a carrera tarted up to look like a GT3. Wouldn't say no to the real thing! Looks very stylish. Has the slight benefit of that modern interior over the 993 too.

POST 4Original post

Guy next door to me has a black 996 cab (with hardtop on), lowered, with massive black wheels, techart rear diffuser and sideskirts, looks fantastic.

POST 5Original post

Gotta be the 993tt, no competition mate. Put it this way, seeing the two on the road ones going to make you think "hmmm, nice motor, bit ponsey but pretty" and the other's going to make you think "Hell that looks the bol***cks, mean, quick, better looking and a serious motor"....

POST 6Original post

Dunno, if you're mostly road driving I'd take the 996, better interior still odles of power and roof off fun. If you're going to track it though I'd get the 993tt.. Still a nice choice to have to make!

POST 7Original post

How did the 993 shopping go Mr Tony? Sorry I never came back with my 993 buying tips, manic week but this one should be better. I can let you know my touhgts now if you're still interested?

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Spent a sunny afternoon browsing round the Porsche's at Lancaster off the A12 today. Not buying until later on although was good to see what's about. Saw a very mean looking black boxter with black wheels. Looks very tasty - wouldn't mind that colour theme on a 911. Their demonstrator 911 cab in deep blue looked very tempting, bathing in the sun. The way the hood stows away looks neater than previous models. Then my faveorite turned up, after the service guy finished it's run out - silver 993tt. Sounds very intimidating with a sports exhaust. Love that agressive rear stance! Decisions, decisions. 90% certain about a 993tt for the outright speed, it's just for the same price a new model 911cab looked sooooo good, inside and out! Speed or a tan? Arghh! Girlfriend loves the cab too. I've got a few months to decide. Am I being silly thinking a new 911cab won't be fast enough or handle as solidly day to day?
